My dog is ok tonight, after a close call last night
The weirdest part was when he escaped to the basement and hid in the corner with the Christmas decorations. I couldn't find him for a while and he never goes downstairs because of his arthritis. But he had picked this place in the corner behind the wrapping paper and tree ornaments to curl up in a ball.

He hasn't eaten today but he is resting quietly on the couch and wants to cuddle.

Sigh of relief.

2. Yay!!
I saw the thread last night but was so busy I never got a chance to post a reply. I was wondering today if he was doing okay. Glad to hear he's better!

3. Thank God. Dogs hide when they don't feel well.
I am glad your house is peaceful tonight, and he has joined you on the couch.

I have a sick pooch here tonight also. She is my latest adopted dog. I paid for her heartworm treatment at the shelter and she was released to my home just a few days ago. She does not have much of an apetite and is very, very scared and stressed. But I have her in the den with my disabled sister and they are both watching TV. The pooch is in a pen and has her very own blankets for the first time in her life. She had been a stray in the neighborhood for years.

She now has a home.

8. good to hear
I was concerned about it because it sounded like it could have been so many things. Some dogs don't handle drugs well and fight them. I have to Ace one dog when it storms and he fights it, he hates it. A human would kick back and enjoy it but not him.
