They even still make Angel Hair in the little nests.

fried chicken.

I didn't say I AM a vegetarian (although I should be); I said it's odd for a vegetarian. ;)

11. Yes, on the dry side, not too much mayo, not chopped too fine, touch of
celery salt and Plochmann's mustard, with one leaf of lettuce.

Comfort food, indeed. Abut the only sandwich where white bread works better than the real stuff.

22. I was visiting a friend of mine at Penn.
I was there for five days and I ate cheesesteaks every day -- sometimes twice a day!

I have a good friend from Philly (born and raised). He has a serious Philly accent.

He went on vacation with his family to North Carolina when he was about 15 or 16. He's walking down the beach and sees a sub shop. He's hungry so he went in. The exchange went something like this:

"Can I help you?"
"Yeah, let me get a cheesesteak."
"A what??"
"A cheesesteak!"
"Uhm, sir...I'm afraid I don't know what that is."
"A cheesesteak! Cheesesteak! Cheese...Steak... You mean to tell me that this is a sub shop and you don't know what a cheesesteak is??"
"No sir, I don't."
"What the hell is wrong with you people in this state...you work in a sub shop and you don't have cheesesteaks!!"
"That's correct, sir."

He said he was so mad that he stormed out without ordering anything. He never knew that you couldn't get a cheesesteak everywhere.

28. I fixed it
It really does work quite well with bacon for when you are feeling really decadent. I have bacon perhaps twice a year. But I tend to forget that there are vegetarians here.

But I agree. Lima beans are yucky.

29. Well, scallops aren't vegetarian, but I'm a pescarian so...
I'm down with the scallops, just not chicken, pork, beef & the like. Seafood is the only meat I eat. Seriously though, I don't understand how anybody can like lima beans. I like all other beans. Lima beans are just weird and gross.

30. Well, it appears that scallops are living animals
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 04:10 AM by pokerfan
Don't mind me, I'm just having fun playing at different conventions. I was trying to make a joke about the scallops being vegetarian but jokes don't come across well on the net.

I am aware that bacon is about the worst thing one can ever put into one's body.

I agree that lima beans are mushy disgusting little things.

So here is my final and improved dish:

:toast:

Bon Appétit!

31. Dude, where'd the scallops go?
Man, I haven't had scallops in a long time.

Oddest interpretation of what constituted a vegetarian food item was when I was in Italy. Several places seemed to think veal was vegetarian because it was a baby cow or something. Truly a :wtf: situation.

32. Well, scallops are animals so obviously they had to go... :)
No, just check up a couple of posts. There's a fine plate of scallops.

It just occured to me. I had me some Tiger Shrimp last August at Westport, Washington State on the coast on a fishing trip. Tiger shrimp with linguini. They were like little lobsters. I was unable to finish the pasta.

I like me the seafood.
