13. Heh...yes, finally arrived
I'm in school in Philly and having a good time so far (though I may change that assesment after the gross practical next week.)

We had our first political lobbying recruitment lecture from the ACP guys too, which was extremely unsurprising.

15. School formerly known as Hahnemann
now the Drexel University College of Medicine (I think the name changed 2-3 years ago) but still an excellent place.

I'm still thinking internal medicine, and probably academic primary care (I've got some away rotations set up already at NYU and BI-Deaconess in Boston) but who knows--I'm trying to keep an open mind. It's a little hard to look at the tables of future income of say, a cardiologist, with $300,000 of loans staring me in the face. But yeah, everything being equal, I'd like to split my time seeing patients as an internist and doing clinical research--I'm probably going to go the MD/MPH route.

17. Good luck, and keep an open mind. Teaching and academics is rewarding.
I make a lot more in private practice now, and it's still interesting in its own way, but most private practice is very $$$$ oriented, and that's what people wind up talking about all the time. My job now is great in its own way but I miss teaching.

All in all it's a push, I think. Although I didn't graduate with six figure debt, I just owed the military half my life, is all.
