Woman Is Mauled By Her Pit Bull -- AND Will Lose Her Pot Plants
<snip>

A 21-year-old Vallejo woman was mauled by her pet pit bull Tuesday, and authorities responding to the emergency discovered about 100 marijuana plants inside her home, police said.

The woman, who was not identified, was flown by air ambulance to a hospital after receiving bites oN her legs and arms and losing a large amount of blood. She underwent surgery and was listed in serious condition, police Lt. Kevin Kelly said.

The dog attacked the woman shortly before noon as the woman was trying to feed it in the backyard of her home on the 5300 block of Chenin Blanc Place, Kelly said.

Police arrived at the residence and found the marijuana plants as they searched the house for the dog. The plants have an estimated street value of about $400,000, Kelly said. It was unclear whether the woman will face charges for having marijuana plants.

The woman told police her 2-year-old dog had no history of being aggressive and had never attacked anyone, Kelly said. :popcorn:

Solano County Animal Care Services, which investigated the incident along with police, has taken custody of the dog, Vallejo Fire Department spokesman William Tweedy said.

5. I have a feeling that someone who had $400,000 worth of pot plants...
was probably keeping that dog a little bit more aggressive than the average pit owner. Gotta protect the crop. Unfortunately, this is common with drug dealers (and it appears she was a big) one, and it harms the reputation of the breed.
