Well, there goes THAT screen door...
Yep, Ginsberg, the eye-lid licker, was so excited to get outside just now that he didn't wait for me to get both the glass door and the screen door open. He just ran straight into that screen and out the other side. What a dumbass! He seems to be okay, but I always knew he had a hard head.

He's just a pretty boy. All muscle and no brains.

1. If he's as dumb as my old cat Etheldread aka Edie,
he probably has only 2 1/2 lives left. Poor Edie used up her last life on a road in Oregon, but she left us with a newly-birthed litter of kittens to remember her by.

2. I think he's only used two lives up.
Midnight probably only has one left and she's really smart. She went through about three of them by 7 weeks though. Then, there was the time when she got lost in a blizzard for two weeks. She came home emaciated but otherwise fine. The vet said she probably got lost in the snow and ended up holed up in the woods. And that she was probably just eating snow for water, as she lost 2.5lbs.

3. No wonder he has the look of supreme confidence, then.
I plan to be reincarnated as a domestic cat.

4. We've got several cats who climb up our screens...
...and get their claws stuck or they get scared and won't let go. You'll hear them yowl and you look but don't see them, they yowl again and then you look up and see them above your head.

5. Yeah, they climb them all the time. Never get stuck though.
He was just an impulsive fuckwit that ran straight into the screen. He's never done that before in his three years. He's always waited for the glass door and then the screen to open.

I guess I can't really talk though, because I walked into the glass door at the condo we rented in Hawaii three times. Amazingly, it only happened during the rare times I was sober, leaving full-body tanning oil prints on the door. Damn, that cleaning crew was thorough.

7. I pictured the George Carlin skit where he's talking about cats running
straight into a wall, acting like they meant to do it and then hiding behind the couch saying "oh fucking meow man, fucking meow..."

Ginberg is probably sitting under the deck rubbing his head right now.

8. I know the feeling, I've got one...
.. that's dumber than a sack of door-knobs.. If he's walking along a desk, dresser, whatever and you call his hame, he'll turn and look at you and keep walking off the edge... poor little Tiggy.

11. We have one that's brilliant, one that's dumb as shit and two that are
inbetween. I consider this guy an inbetweener. Normally, his stupidity involves stuff like, "ha! I'm gonna go beat up Midnight (the brilliant one) because she's asleep! I will finally win!" Then, he promptly gets his ass kicked. He's pretty street-wise too, but obviously not to smart with the screen door.

.. if she had opposable thumbs, mankind would be doomed!

9. Cats are so funny!
My older cat, "Bear-Bear," missed the sink yesterday. I can't get over the way they fall back, ever so slowly, and can really freak a person out...only to land on their feet! It amazes me every time...which, isn't very often, thankfully!

12. Oh man! Did you see that cat on Olbermann that spent 8 days up a tree
then fell out (really high up!) and was totally fine when he landed?

14. No...too bad. I need to watch that show some time...
I keep missing it. It's probably on when my husband watches "Deal or No Deal." :(

10. Yeah, but he's sweet...
:P Our dog Vicki is a big-time squirrel chaser, and she practically crashes through the storm door to get to them. She's such a freak...

13. Ginsberg isn't a squirrel chaser. He's a squirrel killer.

He's definitely a hunting machine. The notch on his ear came from one of Midnight's asskickings though. Oh and he's one of the cats that was subjected to sexual molestation from a German Shepherd.

I just realized the oddity of the stuff surrounding him in that picture. He's laying on one of my swords, with a couple bikinis and a pair of panties behind him.
