The world only gets weirder....
Did anyone else see this morning's news footage of the bear that got so shnockered on fermented apples that he couldn't stand up? It was hysterical.

Just as funny was the statement from the authorities.... they'd take him somewhere where he could sleep it off then return him to the woods :)

I wonder if he's gonna go into rehab?

Nothing's happened yet, mind you. Life's a journey, not a destination. Therefore it's happening.

Maybe I never met the right guy... OTOH, since the neck surgery things have been different too, but it's not what you're thinking (please PM me).

who can forget this story, from 2004:

When state Fish and Wildlife agents recently found a black bear passed out on the lawn of Baker Lake Resort, there were some clues scattered nearby — dozens of empty cans of Rainier Beer.

The bear apparently got into campers' coolers and used his claws and teeth to puncture the cans. And not just any cans.

"He drank the Rainier and wouldn't drink the Busch beer," said Lisa Broxson, bookkeeper at the campground and cabins resort east of Mount Baker.

Fish and Wildlife enforcement Sgt. Bill Heinck said the bear did try one can of Busch, but ignored the rest.
