199-Foot Tall Cross To Be Built By Orange County Church

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County church will soon construct a 199-foot tall cross.

The cross will be built on the west campus of the First Baptist Church of Central Florida at Good Homes Road and Colonial Drive.

The county commission approved it Tuesday, even though it's five times higher than what zoning rules normally allow.

Only one commissioner voted against it.
