I need ipod help - today i hooked up to recharge battery and now my videos

won't be downloaded because they are in the wrong format? The stupid mac came up with an i-tunes license agreement, which i found odd cuz i didn't download new software knowingly.... and yet i-tunes layout is all different now so I guess it decided to "help" me an get updated - i don't know. But HOW do I get it to allow my videos again?

I had a bunch of video podcasts...

help?

1. You probably have the computer set to download Apple updates automatic

The just released an upgrade to iTunes 7 recently.

I have no clue why your video podcasts won't work. Perhaps the files got corrupted somehow. There hasn't been any change in the playable formats for iTunes. All of my videos and music still works fine.

With your iPod connected go to movies or tv, check the items you want on your iPod and sync all items desired.

3. I did that. About half my vidoes no longer play. On the Ipod website

there is a discussion about how the new iTunes7.0 is screwing up video for many folks. Also a discussion about how it has degraded audio performance. There are instructions on how to "upgrade" back to version 6.0.5

Think I will try that -because naturally - the video I lost was my Jake Gyllenhaal movie clips....

4. The update now is 7.01 vs.7.0

Are the Jake videos on your computer's hard-drive? If so move then into iTunes and sync them to your iPod.

I am having no problems with the 7.01 but I use a mac.

7. download this program and you can put any of your Dvds

on your iPod video just change the screen size before you start ripping it if your dvds are widescreen formatted.
iPod hacks is more informative than the apple forum.

I just bought the new 80-gig iPod last week, and after loading up my iTunes library, I downloaded some games. At first they wouldn't play because my computer wasn't authorized. I went to Apple's website and found help.

Open up iTunes, go to the Store menu, then select "Authorize computer". Worked like a charm for me.
