It's homecoming time again!
Well, i won't be going (Even though I got asked by three different guys! *GASP*), but I'm wondering if you all will be going to your homecoming games. or if your children will be going to the dances.

I'm going to the game to preform in the field show (With the 'unmarchable' bari saxophone) and the pep band event during the game, but not the dance.

You?

1. My daughters are going.
The 12th grader turned down a date because she wants to have fun with her friends. The 9th grader has a date.

2. Didn't go to the game. Didn't go to the dance.
:P

(In my defense, the dance was the same day as the BC/UMaine football game I went to, and didn't get back from until about 9 PM.)

3. I got jaked up at my homecoming dance and spent thirty
days in detention cause I was suppose to be in the court but was blackballed by a teacher...

No seriously, I went and had a good time even though I was blackballed...

I thought it was funny that enough kids voted for me to be King that I made it into the court...

Come to think of it, this is Ohio...

Maybe they rigged the election....

4. Why aren't you going?
My 11th grader went in 9th grade and had a great time.

She's going to three homecoming dances this year. Her brother is just going to the one at the high school he attends.

(Not that's she's a super kid or anything, it's because they redistricted when they opened the new school and split all the kids)

9. Great reason.
A not so great reason is that you didn't get asked. Here, anyway, people can go in groups of friends not just with dates.

6. Homecoming was one of my favorite times in HS.
Never went to a single dance, but I was a majorette so was in all the pregame and halftime stuff. What a blast. In my junior year we twirled fire batons. What a hoot. The band director almost killed me and my friend June. We both had long hair and forgot to tie it back. Gave him a heart attack.

10. Went to the game because I had to..
I'm in the band. Didn't go to the dance. Had more fun hanging out with my best friend instead.

We did win the game for the first time in 3 years, though.

11. WannaBe didnt' go because we had tickets to the Tigers game. She would
have gone otherwise. They had a blast the last two years. Her school is wonderful that way. Small class (34 in her Junior class) so it's a big group thing. :hi:
