Lieberman needs to visited by three ghosts tonight.
Edited on Wed Dec-24-03 09:22 PM by sleipnir
The Past, to show what he used to be like when he was a hard core liberal.

The Present, where he's bashing Dean (who is Cratchit, BTW)

The Future, where GWB gets a second term because of Lieberman's slanders. And Lieberman is out of office and sorting papers in Connecticut.

I want to wake up tomorrow and see Lieberman on the TV telling the world he was wrong, and that he hates Bush and that we should all go over to Howard Dean's for a Turkey dinner.

Any other ideas on how to recast "Christmas Carol"?

1. Lieberman was a hardcore liberal?
 slepenir honest, Lieberman may have been more liberal back in the day but he never was hardcore liberal, hell the republican who turned indepedent he beat, Lowell Weicker was more liberal than him.

2. Ok, not hardcore, but I guess, compared to the Scrooge he is now...
Anything would be better.

He was pretty progessive though back in the day, before bitterness hit him and he lost his only love after she left him....And poor Mr. Fezziwig, he only tried to help Joe....

11. 1988
When Lieberman was first elected to the Senate in '88, he ran to the right of Lowell Weicker. Right wing groups such as the anti-abortion movement were mailing out flyers telling their supporters to vote for the Democrat over the Republican in that race. He has voted pro-choice in the Senate so I'm sure the anti-abortion groups never liked him, but they wanted Weicker out of there in a big way.

7. I hope he gets visited
by the ghosts of all the soldiers he helped send to their deaths, as well as all of the innocent Iraqis whose killing he helped enable.

I don't think he was ever that liberal. When he first won his senate seat he ran to the right of the incumbent Republican Lowell Weiker(sp). I think I remember hearing about Jerry Falwell urging people to vote for him so they could get rid of the evil liberal Republican, although I may not be remembering correctly.

8. The christmas future will be this for Lieberman
He wakes up in a dark cell in the Hague and his bunkmate is El Cokehead Loco himself. He finds out after he didn't get the nomination he became El Cokehead Loco's runing mate for 2004. When El Cokehead Loco lost again the BCF tried to get the military to overthrow the elected leader. Very little of the military joined their side so they lost and was sent off to face war crimes charges in the Hague. He then get's on national tv and apalogizes for betraying not only his party but the American people. He then... well I'll save it for later on.

10. Well, I think you've miscast Joe
as Srooge. Really, he's Marley. Dragged down by the chains of the DLC who can't recognize that his style of campaigning is over. Dead. Dead as the door knocker.

13. I'd rather he got a visit from the 4 Horsemen...
He already knows War (or thinks he does) so give him some time with Famine and Pestilence, too....

Who is the 4th Horseman? I forget.
