Our Vacation....Day ONE!
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 06:15 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
The Adventure Begins!!
We left our house at 6:30 driving our freshly rented Chrysler 300. Great car to travel in...soooo comfy!

We arrived in Arkansas at around 9 in the morning.

Everything was great...until we got onto highway 540. Apparently RazorBack fans DO NOT know how to drive. They were slowing down for no reason. They were screwing around on the highway. It was sooo annoying.

Halfway there, the traffic finally got unclogged just in time for me to travel thru my first tunnel!!

We ate lunch in Fayetteville around 11. From there the story just gets crazy. There were many wrong turns, we couldn't find where we were going. so we just started turning. We ended up in this place, whose name we can't remember. It was Stone Creek or something. Any way, it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

Now, we're sitting in the Holiday Inn Express in Harrison Arkansas. Tomorrow we're going to Gilbert to see if we can find a place to camp. Wish us luck. I'll post more pictures on Tuesday night. Don't miss me too much!!

you are traveling in my favorite car! Isn't the instrument panel beautiful?

And your pictures are beautiful as well. I'm wondering how long you're travelling for. Have fun! :hi:

edited for spelling.

4. We're going to camp two nights...
then head to Tulsa where we have reservations at the Courtyard Marriot for a King Spa room. A little pampering after two days of cold and wilderness is just the ticket.

Check out Eureka Springs while you are there if you can. It is gorgeous.

3. Hey Duckie!
I spent lots of time in Arkansas when I was growing up, as that's where my dad was from. I lived there when I was in first grade, and had the same teacher dad did for first grade. Arkansas has a lot of beautiful scenery. Have a great time!

6. I have a friend who suggested it.
He's from Fayetteville. It's completely beautiful. I'll definately post more pictures. We got lucky with the camera we bought. It's 5 megapixels. I'm actually going to brag on myself and say that photography is the one true talent I have, and I'm thankful for it. Sorry to sound like a braggart.
