I've had this mouse for all of a couple of weeks, too. :grr:

3. Do you mean it only rotates in one direction, or does it spin both
ways but only register on screen in the 'up' direction? (I can't help you either way; I'm just curious. However, I extend my sympathy - I had a wireless card fail last week and it pissed me off to no end. Failure after only a few weeks, of any component, makes me go postal...)

9. I can't use a scroll wheel at all.
It's rubber/latex, and I have an allergy. I kept wondering why the skin on my right index finger was getting all eaten up, until I realized what it was. Now I cover the scroll wheel with masking tape. Problem solved.
