My six-year-old daughter just slipped me an adorable note
I'm working on the computer downstairs and she padded down here and slipped the note under the door (she was supposed to be in bed ...).

It says: "Dear mama I love you so much. that i get so loveie. and did i menchin that i love you?"

:loveya:

Sometimes parenthood is the best thing ever.

4. Good idea!
That's definitely a keeper. She is such an expressive child, in every way. My son is lovey, too, luckily. I'm very lucky.

15. I try to actively appreciate them every day.
As the cliche goes, they grow up so fast. Sometimes when I feel I'm going to scream because I'm making PB&J sandwich #1,873, I realize there will come a time when they'll be out of the house and I'll long to be making sandwiches for them.

13. Damn - that kid spells worse than a drunken freeper...
:hide:

I'm kidding, of course - this is cuter than the KLT thread and three other randomly chosen 'cute' threads put together...

14. Heh heh.
Her teacher specifically told the parents not to spell out words for kids. She wants them to develop a sense of how letters sound. My daughter and many other kids in her class are amazing -- they read like champs already. So, hopefully the Freeperese will fade away in due time...

Thanks for the cuteness props! :hi:

I think kids often get a bad rap here on DU. They can be so amazing and bring so much happiness ... :hi:
