Got back from the Renaissance Fair tonight!

yes it was fun.

i drank a whole lot of mead and beer, and ate a couple turkey legs. (good shit!)
i watched jousting and swordfighting, and some guys fight and eat mud.
i threw axes, knives, and hammers. (didnt ring the fucking bell though, i will figure that shit out)
i kissed a wench with pumpkins painted on her very large breasts
i saw a whole lot of fat people in chain mail (wtf?)

3. Jeez - that is such a confusingly complex tangle of contradictory

images that I don't quite know what reaction to have. However, since my goatee is not 100% food-free at all times, I'm glad to hear there are wenches who are into that look! :silly:

5. Unfortunately, such fairs are so inauthentic.

Nobody has cholera, there are very few lepers, few public executions or judicial maimings and God help you if you try to convince a 12 year old to 'marry' you.

And they say we've progressed. Pfft!
