I've been here five years this week

I don't remember the exact date, I remember it was the week before Halloween, because my stepson was in a car wreck in Ft. Collins Co on Halloween and we had to drive all night to get him.
If I remember correctly it was Newyawker who first welcomed me, then SoCalDem, who I thought was a man for the longest time.
I remember being in a fog, for most of 01, then in august slowly coming out of it and looking for people of the same mind as I was, you'd be surprised what comes back when you enter BUSH SUCKS in a search engine, even back then.
After a few days here and there following links I came to Bart, then followed a link here, and I've been here since then, under a different incarnation now, but my first user name was a hasty decision, and come the amnesty in 04 it went away.
I've witnessed many changes since 01, hopefully the biggest change is a couple of weeks away, I hope so my batteries are getting weak.

You know I couldn't turn on the news for five months, I was watching game shows instead, I didn't know what the hell was going on, and this was when we actually had tv news.

I remember they were doing that, but I avoided GD for a week after the election because it was such a trainwreck.

and it just didn't sound right, so the admins decided that if anyone wanted to change then you could and keep your post count. I had bveen wanting to change for some time, but didn't wqant to start from zero.
