As I speak, the chainsaws are cutting down every large tree we have in this complex.
I am so enraged. I can't even express it.
I guess the fucking b**** across the way with the Hummer has a more important opinion than I do.
She was the one who tried to kill herself last weekend.
I hope she tries more successfully next time.

What does the woman with the Hummer have to do with trees being cut down?
And, maybe there is some sort of disease going around that necessitates it?
We had a similar issue here last year when all the red tips contracted a fungus and had to be destroyed. What a disaster.

2. The Hummer driving wench was upset because of bird poop on her |
|
Hummer.
She and some other residents have been campaigning to get rid of all of our large trees because "they might fall down" "birds build nests & roost in them" "leaves & pine cones fall out of them".
I don't understand why fucking people hate trees. Especially here in the desert when shade is worth more than friggin' gold.

6. No, but I hope she tries harder next time she tries to off herself. |
|
Yeah, that's hateful.
But that's where I am right now.

You're just pissed and justifiably so.

|
It's nerve shattering.
I guess I'm just a tree-hugging liberal.

4. Wow. How unbelievably short sighted. |
|
We have birds poop on our cars when we leave them out, but hey, that's certainly not the birds' fault.
What a flaming idiot she must be.

5. Well, we don't have covered parking in our complex, but we're planning on getting it |
|
Which of course, would solve the problem.
So why not hold off on cutting down trees that took decades to grow until the matter is settled? Of course, I STILL say the trees should stay. Fuck the Hummer drivers. They chose to buy here without covered parking.

9. Birds poop on my car all the time, |
|
they like to perch on the power and telephone lines above my parking spot. I "kill two birds with one stone" and spray the car with the hose, leaving a puddle in the gutter for the birds to drink and bathe in. :) So sorry about the trees!

10. That'll do wonders for your property values. I assume |

that this is a condo/townhouse complex, right?

22. Yep. We're townhouses. |
|
I'm telling you, flvegan, between the city cutting down all the trees along the street and the HOA cutting down the ones interior in the complex, I'm starting to think there's a conspiracy against trees.

Maybe someone here can volunteer to come over and shit on her car.

12. She's suicidal over bird poop on her car? |
|
Or is she so crazy that she's suicidal and she decided to freak over the bird poop as a side issue? How weird!
You'd think she'd be more concerned about her own mental health than her car at this point. I guess that's how she let herself slide - being overly concerned about her possessions. Some people have their priorities in a wad, don't they?

23. I think her problem is that she's just a shallow, mean person. |
|
And so she's unhappy with herself, because on some level she realizes that she's not a nice person.
Just my theory.

13. Oh man, I would be SOoooo angry |
|
Lived with a friend in his condo last year and they came by to "trim" the trees... cutting 4-6 inch branches! I was angry, and I didn't even officially live there! I'm so sorry, Coventina. God forbid she was inconvenienced by bird poop and leaves and pine cones. :eyes: Ugh.

14. A friend of mine got written up for working on a car in his driveway |
|
In his neighborhood's covenants and restrictions it states that you cannot have your car on blocks or do any mechanical work to it in plain site of the neighborhood which pretty much means, not outdoors in your driveway, but okay in your garage. What did he do? He was changing the wiper blades on his daughter's car.

19. With this poor guy... |
|
His wife insisted they buy in that neighborhood as she had several coworkers who had homes in there. They knew how bad things were but if they suffer they want everyone else to suffer too and didn't tell her that. Now she hates the neighborhood and hates her coworkers and is pissed at him for not persuading her to change her mind about buying there.
Poor bastard.

16. are they cutting them all the way down or major trimming? |
|
we get ours cut wayyyy back every once in a while to control their size. Also, it controls the roots in the water lines and sewers etc.. Maybe that's why?
bummer if it's not :-(

21. Nope, completely gone. Sorry I quit responding yesterday. |
|
The sounds of the chainsaws were seriously giving me a nervous breakdown.
I had to put on my headphones and blast calming music.
That sounds really ridiculous, but that's what I had to do.
