3. Men don't change light bulbs.
The wife bought some new lightbulbs on her last trip to the supermarket and changed the bulb before he even noticed it was flickering and ready to burn out.

5. It only takes one man
He simply holds the bulb, and the world revolves around him!

16. I dunno
I'm a vegetarian and I carry a purse, so I have little say over such things. If it weren't for the beard and the fact that I drive a 23 year old car, I'd be out, already. :)

12. Men change lightbulbs?
Wait, can we add a woman to flippin' tell him to do it (several times before it actually gets done, that is if she doesn't give up and just do it herself)?

18. Only if you explain why
she doesn't just change the damn thing herself without having to ask anyone else.

And yes, I do get my own beer, thank you. :)

Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 02:22 PM by redqueen
gets the kids up and ready for school, the dishes, most of the cooking, all of the trash-picking-upping, etc. etc. etc... and would like to have SOMETHING done by the other parent who also works but seems to think his workday ends when he gets home? (And that's if and only IF she's lucky enough to not be the only working parent... take out the husband working outside the home and it's :nuke: time!)

Me? Bitter? :P

22. But then wouldn't changing a light bulb be easier than asking
thirty times to get it done?

15. Reality check: men change lightbulbs.
It's refilling the ice cube trays we're incapable of. Oh, and relinquishing the TV remote.

17. Okay, I really hate gender stereotypes. They are dehumanizing
but the remote control thing is just true. I consciously try not to hog it, and the damned thing winds up in my hands anyway.

19. I live with a male housemate. Remote wars can go on and on.
In a passive aggressive way, of course, no overt lower-primate alpha-battle poo-flinging.
