I'm all signed up for Turkey classes!
Sniffa and I are going to the Williams Sonoma Turkey Technique classes next month! Turkey 101, Roasting and Carving, and Gravy and Sides...Yay!!! :bounce:

Let's hope our first Thanksgiving is a good one :D

1. Start out by remembering to remove the plastic bag of giblets.
One time I couldn't find it and decided it wasn't there. It turned out that it had been buried in a frozen chunk of ice at the center of the turkey. Fortunately, I hadn't stuffed the turkey.

Then there was the friend and her husband who were both freaked out by the giblets and spent half an hour trying to spoon them out so they wouldn't have to touch the yuckiness!

After my mom passed away, my sister and I fretted over being responsible to cook a turkey for our family of 25 people. I honestly considered ordering one cooked from somewhere, anywhere. But my dad decided to do it, and did a great job.
