And overcoming that kind of fear is absolutely exhilarating!

8. A Gift from God, in many ways....
I mean...if we listen to it, it's there for a reason...usually to propel us to turn in another direction. Sometimes that means literally, as when a woman is walking alone and has a "bad feeling" about a man behind her and sometimes it comes in the different form, such as fearing being alone, which propels us to meet more people.

I believe it really is a gift, if we listen.

10. I agree, Fear can be a gift sometimes, if viewed as a point of
transformation. That is, as a place from where positive change can come...as opposed to something which holds us back and keeps us stuck.

It depends on how one chooses to USE fear.

It's all about choice and perspective, in my opinion.

9. False Evidence, Appearing Real
I can't claim that acronym as my own, but I really do like it.

I try to remember to send LIGHT to my fears, whenever they come up, and be mindful of not getting sucked into a vortex of worry and other negative emotions that bring my attention out of being fully present and in the moment.

Easier said, than done, sometimes...but that's what I strive to do.

11. Air crash...
specifically, something like the Alaska Air crash several years ago where they lost vertical stabilization and went hurtling straight down into the ocean, spinning round and round and round.

If I'm going to die, I want it to be instant.

Those hideously, completely terrifying, unutterably monstrous minutes of screaming before I hit would be my absolute definition of terror.
