Which "Sponsor a Child" Charity is the best?

I'm interested in the charities where you can sponsor a child in Africa. Does anyone which one is the best/most reputable? Thanks.

Third World children right here in the USA:

Oglala Lakota children and Elders living on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, living in conditions often WORSE than many Third World countries. In the Unites States.

Sponsor them now, just in time for Christmas and Winter -- my mom and I sponsor an Elder woman. She's a joy.

Ironically is was the Madonna adoption story on the news that made me think about sponsoring a child.
