Poll question: Will you be giving out treats to the trick-or-treaters this Halloween?
I'm sitting this one out. But I do usually participate.

1. If you count a blast of icy cold water from the garden hose a treat, then yes

2. Yes, since it's not an official holiday here
and only a few kids go around, it's a matter of a few minutes.

:hi: mvd!

My mom's half Swiss and quite frankly, everyone on that side is completely fucking insane.

16. That's a wide range, honestly.
This country might be small, but all the clichés about it are from some German parts. Not Zurich, though. ;)

7. The godless communist thingie called:
"Halloween? We don't have the pumpkins for it!"

It's like Valentine's day. The businesses try so hard to include it, but it just didn't work so far.

5. Hi, CMW!
How have you been? I've been pretty good. We have a busy neighborhood full of trick-or-treating kids, so that's why I don't do it all the time. :hi:

10. I've been good so far.
;)

I guess I'd turn my lights off then, too. But since Heidi mostly introduced Halloween here, it's not this bad. It's just our two nieces and some friends. Funny enough, last Halloween, they went all around in town and made $250, besides bags full of candy. I was really surprised.

23. Yes...
Our apt complex didn't get too many trick-or-treaters the last couple years but there are a lot more kids in the complex this year.... plus my SO is working on Halloween so we can't go out and play... Might as well buy some candy and give some out, :).

33. I think it is true... I read that on some blog, where someone took their kids
trick-or-treating in San Francisco, and they stopped at Robin Williams' house, and he handed out a toothbrush to every kid that came to the door.

26. Yup. We live close to Stephen King, so it's a HUGE NIGHT.
We regularly shell out eighty bucks worth of candy. This year we're having a haunted house too (which I'm sure I've mentioned because I'm so excited). This is the best neighborhood to live in on Halloween. Period!

35. Visit some time!
My parents were here from Oregon last year. My dad, who is normally a calm and serious man, took over door duty after the first you. You don't get a chance to shut the door, you see, and he was absolutely loving it.

Our house is for sale and so next year I will probably be living in a different part of town. All the more reason to make it HUGE this year!

28. Halloween is one of my favorites but I have hardly EVER
lived where there were many if any trick or treaters. When my kids were small we used to drive to the two nearby towns so they could harvest goodies. I would even pass stuff out from the car, but if the kids didn't know who we were that didn't work too well.

Most of my childhood was also spent in a neighborhood that was hard to find and had very few trick or treaters. Although close to "regular" neighborhoods so at least we didn't miss out on the loot.

I LOVE Halloween and seeing all the kids...and I live on a street where we get LOTS of kids. It makes me happy to see that one old fashioned holiday has not been destroyed by over protective parents.

34. Yes, at Halloween I'm a big kid
My front yard is decorated with tombstones and skelatons climbing out of the ground, etc... I love Halloween and think it's fun handing out candy and seeing all the costumes of the little kids.
