So I decided to make a roast chicken today...
I decided to go for a big 5 pounder, figuring I'll live off the tasty leftovers for the next week :9

This is what has been roasting for the past 2 hours:

1 roasting chicken
1 ginger root
1 lemon
1 lime
rosemary
salt
pepper

I cut and sliced the orange and lemon and put it over and in the chicken, sprinkled a nice coat of spices on it so the skin is crispy :9

Right now, the skin is juuuuuuuust starting to get crispy :D

I haven't roasted a bird for a while. Made some mustard crusted game hens a while back.

Epicurious is a decent site. Anyone have a favorite recipe web site they would like to share?

My SO is making tacos tonight, I'm being a bum.

Every now and then I will buy a big roasting chicken with the same idea you have.......

The leftover chicken is so good.......I have a couple of recipes for it.

Your kitchen must smell heavenly!

5. Sounds good except
I'm confused.

Your ingredients say: 1 lemon & 1 lime
Your directions say: I cut and sliced the orange and lemon

Did you use orange or lime with the lemon?
