Job interview tomorrow!
I have a job interview tomorrow.

It'll be my first interview for a professional librarian job, after 10 years of experience as a library assistant. I'm getting my MLS in December, but apparently they're willing to at least interview me in advance.

I'm WAY nervous, because I suck at interviews...but, I should do well, because it's in cataloging, and I've been a cataloging assistant for the past 8 years.

Fortunately, as a cataloger, I wouldn't have to deal with a lot of that (catalogers are usually pretty insulated from the public) - but...

I've run into that sort of question before!

Just so you all know...If you don't know the name of the book OR the author - NO, I can't read your mind and find it! (generally...sometimes we both get lucky!)

And if you ever feel you're getting an undue hard time from the interviewer, if they get pompous or self-important - just imagine them sat on the toilet - they'll never be able to freak you after that!

17. Had my interview today...
thought it went ok, but not great...

They called me this evening...wanted my references, said they were still very interested in me...talked about doing a background check and asked when I'd be able to start if they did make an offer...

I'm trying not to get too excited, but it sounds good so far...
