Okay, Hartford area DUers. Do you want to do something?
Amaya and I talked briefly a few weeks back about having a small gathering of some of us Hartford area folks (of course anyone in CT, MA, or whereever would be welcome). It may be small, but there's a few of us and it might be fun.
I liked the Saturday afternoon concept, especially since most of my evenings are homebound because hubby works evenings or I'm in school evenings Tues-Thurs. How about Saturday, January 17th? Anyone interested? Any location suggestions?

5. Would a Worcester thing be better?
A nice middle ground for Boston, Hartford, and western Mass. I'm 20 miles east of Hartford, so it's only a 40 minute drive for me. I have no clue about any good places in Worcester to meet though, so I'd need a bit of help on that one.

Any chance of making it on a Sunday? Alternately, if it has to be on a Saturday afernoon, can it be later in the day?

...should the gathering occur on the 17th, I'll see if I can get one of the other drivers to cover for me that day.

And if we decide to hook up in Worcester, I know of a place called Ralph's Diner that's kinda cool. Small, but cool!

10. Sunday's cool for me
I'd be limitted a bit more because hubby will be with the kids and he works every other weekend, but I'd still be available for Sunday, Jan 3, 17, 31, and so on.
Or instead of 1pm or something, we could make it 4pm on a Saturday. Would that be better for you?

Tell you what, PM: Make it for either day and I'll do my damndest to be there. As I mentioned before, I might be able to get one of the other drivers to cover for me on Saturday the 17th.

7. I am under an hour from Hartford and an hour from Worcester
hear next to the lovely Mohegan Sun Casino, so, if I don't have transportation "issues" (sharing a vehicle at the moment) it could be a possibility for me...

If Sunday's not a problem, how about Sunday, the 18th at 2pm in Worcester to try to reel in more Mass people? We could go with Nighttrain's suggestion or are there any others?

16. How many Mass people would be interested?
There's only a few of us around Hartford, but if only say, one person from Mass is coming, then it would be easier to stay more local, but I think all of us are willing to still meet in the middle regardless. Do we want to stay in Worcester, but make it Saturday, maybe a little later, like around 4:00 instead?

Wooden Tap is right at the end of Sisson Ave. exit on 84 Saturday or Sunday good for me. I will try think of other spots.

If Green Bay makes it that far, I don't know if I can make it Sunday but I don't think that will be an issue!

Edit: Whoops...it is kinda late... the party is 5-8. The notice was in Today's Courant. A tad late, I'd say. Yesterday or Saturday would have been better
