Help! Need tips from DUers - ala hints from Heloise...
So I received a wonderful new gourmet omelet pan...

Took the insert out of the inside of the pan (with that gob of goo they use to stick it on)... comes out fine.

Somehow the bottom of the pan comes into contact with the gooey side of the insert. But the goo doesn't come off.

Have gotten most of it off - but there is residual gunk. So now I can't try it out - because the gunk would go on the (electric) burner on the stove.

Any ideas on how to get the goo off?

2. Try either something with orange oil
or plain old rubbing alcohol will take sticky glue off.

5. Try a dab of cooking oil
oils disolve glue. Any kind will do: butter, peanut oil, olive oil, whatever you have around.
