I think I might be evacuated soon.

I'm constantly frustrated about being in a small town. All our news stations are Charlotte based. They just had a short snippet of some news about us though. It said something about two city blocks of my piss poor little town being evacuated. The spot they mentioned was fairly close to me and that is a considerable portion of my town. I haven't been evacuated yet though and I cannot find any more news about it anywhere. Should I worry? :shrug:

What would you do to find out more if you lived in an area that isn't covered by any news station at all ever?

3. A few weeks ago, NOAA had evac info for a small KY town...

that was the site of a chemical leak.

I would think they'd have info for you, but I don't see anything.

People are constantly calling my town small - even though the map says 35,000 and we are contiguous with a city of 10,000 and a county of 70,000. Having grown up in a town of 13,000 with a county population of 19,000 and having lived for ten years in a town of 5,000 with a county population of 17,000, I have to tell them - THIS is not a small town. Not by a long shot.

8. We were recording last night, so I could watch Letterman.

I went back and checked it. It said it was a fuel spill. They didn't even mention it at all tonight. It sucks that so much happens in my hometown, yet our own paper and pretty much most of the local news stations see it as non news when something does happen here. I wonder why they bothered to mention it if they weren't going to follow up on it. :shrug:
