That leader of the orc army looked awfully similar. ;)

1. No. The actor who played Sloth died in 1989.

2. I meant the makeup, not the actor.

No disrespect to him.

(On edit: Sloth was John Matuszak?!? I didn't know that! I was a big Raider fan back in the L.A./Howie Long days. Damn.)

3. I assumed you meant the makeup, but...
I am the queen of rhetorical questions! (That's a clear sign I need to go to bed.)

Someone recently asked how long it would take, on a stair climber, to burn off a sleeve of Ritz crackers, a tub of port wine cheese and a Sam Adams. So, I looked it up and told her. (That also was clearly a rhetorical question. I needed to go to bed that night, too.)

4. LOL! I thought that face was familiar.

I was vaguely thinking Shrek, and also Hunch of Notre D.- but you hit it I think...that was darn close to the "Sloth" makeup.

Maybe a winkwink nudge to Sean Astin's part in Goonies?

5. I thought exactly the same
thing. I pointed it out immediately after the movie, and my 16 year old son started jumping up and down agreeing. He said he kept trying to think where he'd seen the same character before.
