The road to the Superbowl goes through Philadelphia and this time no one wins in our home but the EAGLES!!!!!!

Unlike last year, McNabb is healthy and playing an amazing game. So we lost the next to last game, we had to get it out of the way so we can win 3 more straight games....ALL THE WAY TO HOUSTON BABY!!!!

I love my Eagles!!!

btw, all you Detroit Lions fans from DUers always have a place to stay when you come to the Philly area!! Thanks for our xmas present!!!

PHILLY SPORTS FANS! They are the absolute WORST. NYers think that they are bad, but they are cream puffs compared to Philly fans!

I often forget how incorrigible they are, having not lived in Philly for the past 6 years. Just about the only thing worse that Eagles fans is FLYERS fans! :puke:

Eagles are still going down. I will see the Broncos vs. Eagles in the Super Bowl in Texas.

I think a Patriots/Eagles Superbowl match up would be absolutely heavenly. I also like your ‘personalize invitation’ to all the people who doubted McNabb and the Eagles chances of making the playoffs. I have a similar ‘personalize invitation’ that I employ occasionally, but instead of “white buttocks”, I substitute “royal Black hindparts”.

Both are extremely effective in delivering the intended message, in my opinion. B-)

I have to say that the Eagles look like the best of the NFC right about now. Their defense is better than St. Louis, Carolina, or Dallas, which adds to their home-field advantage in post-season.

I would put money on their making it to the Super Bowl and give them a 50-50 chance of winning it all. There are some tough teams in the AFC. Much tougher to make the call there.

OOOHHH, that game HURT yesterday. All the local media (St. Louis) is wondering just how in the world the Rams lost in Detroit.

Isn't it enough that the Red Wings torture the Blues year after year?

Can't wait until the NFC title game - IF Philly makes it!

How is he surviving in what we call "Slower Delaware" (anything below the Canal). That area lives for Nascar racing!!!

Well, he was in Kuwait three months ago, so I have to imagine Dover looks pretty good about now. Can't speak to how he feels about NASCAR racing, but his dad drives like a damned fool.

I didn't realize Delaware was big enough to warrant geographical deliniations -- I just thought it was, you know, Delaware.

I forgot that the only two world series games I ever attended were games 6 and 7 in 1968.

I forgot that bus ride home, and the long winter afterwards.

I was 13 in '68, in a city where baseball rules over all, and we had Bob Gibson going in Game 7. Shoulda been, coulda been.

It is looking like Favre and the Packers will be in Philly two weeks from now, and that is no pushover.

Probably the team next to St. Louis that I wanted to face least.

Favre and the Pack (if they make it) can definitely win in Philly...they can win anywhere.

Having said that, I also think that, as a first game for a team trying to prove something, Green Bay won't foment complacency like the previously hapless Bucs did last year.

I am very optimistic about the Eagles' chances this year, but have no illusions.

Green Bay, St. Louis or the top 4 AFC teams could beat us...but that doesn't mean they will.

I also second the thanks to Detroit! Hopefully we will get to "use" our gift.

But first, most likely, we will have to face and defeat the Pack.

It's been a long time since I felt good about my team's chances....

i.e. Flyers in the 80s.....damn Oilers!!!!

And not to forget the Wild Thing's sinking of the Phillies....ugh!

Have to hold the standings upside down just to see what it's like to be in first...


Anyway...I am not one to root for teams that always win...which is why I have moved to watching the NFL more and more as parity kicks in...so if my Eagles can't win, i'm supporting any team that hasn't won in at least ten years! (Except Dallas of course...screw Parcell!!!)

We're not going to lose at home in the playoffs this year. :-) I think the Eagles have great chemistry and they remind me of the Patriots the year they won the Super Bowl. Not great stats or a lot of stars, but they are getting the job done. And Reid has done an even better job of coaching this year than last year. We'll see if he comes up with a lame game plan in a big one, though. He did in the last two Tampa Bay games and the San Francisco game this year.
