So does anybody have the huevos (balls)
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 01:45 PM by Ernesto
to tell us about your last DUI ticket?.... I got mine in '77 while riding my Harley. The cop lied his ass off while under oath. But, I did the crime & paid the fine.

2. Never had one - pretty scared of it
I take drinking and driving pretty seriously -- I don't mean that like someone who has gotten a DUI is a low life who doesn't. I just mean I'm very scared of getting a DUI or worse, actually hurting someone else in a way I could have precented if I had been more sober.

When I drink anything more than a beer or two, I don't drive.

3. Good for you...
I wish everyone was the same way. My father was killed by a drunk driver, and the saddest thing about it(other than the loss of a wonderful father)was the sheer idiocy of it. There is no need, nor any excuse..ever..for driving drunk.

4. did you read my latest thread?
40 year old kills a 28 year old...there was no need for it. At first I figured "Too bad but it was probably a snowy highway and these things happen" then I saw in the accident report that the highway was bare and booze was suspected...made me so mad.

5. I don't drink..
Every person that has recieved a DUI or driven drunk has done so by their own free will. if you drive somewhere, and start drinking, you do so with the full knowledge that you have to drive home far before you become drunk & a danger to everyone on the road.

frankly, people who drink and drive deserve nothing less than 30 days in the slammer, and one year without a license. period. no fucking lawyers, no fucking "hardship" license. nothing.

6. My stepfather was killed by an off-duty drunken cop
in Miami. And my daughter's husband was killed by a drunk driver. I drink, but definitely do not drive while doing so.

8. I thought huevos was eggs, and cajones is....well, anyway...
I never drink & drive. My son, though, while riding home in a DD friend's car got nabbed by predatory cops near U Minn campus, who ticketed him for dui even though he wasn't driving. Later changed it to underage drinking, or some such. Caused long irritating hassles including loss of license, loss of insurance, so on.

11. Hey Ernesto, Here's the truth:
You have to be an idiot to get into a car after consuming enough alcohol that you are under it's influence. I cannot believe that, in this day and age, people still feel it's appropriate to do so.

10. Never
Last drink: 1 September 1980.

That's right. 1980.

Last ticket for a Moving Violation: 1980. Not connected to drinking (3 MPH over the "grace margin" through a speed trap).

I'm a very cautious driver. I've been in two major accidents, none of which were caused by me, but BOTH of which were caused by drinking. Of the smaller accidents, "fender-benders", similar ratio: Four total, three from drink, none chargable to me. Mind you, I used to do a lot of driving since I worked 60 miles from home, and at one time, was a travelling salesman.

Balls, you say? I have none when I'm in an automobile. I'd prefer to live to use my balls for more pleasurable pursuits, thankyouverymuch.

13. BUI
Biking under the influence. A campus cop watched me hit a curb and crash into a yard. He helped me up, put my bike in his trunk and drove me home.

Reminded me that there are many decent people in law enforcement.
