Seattle Shower Ideas

As you already know, fellow DUer everythingsxen is moving to Seattle. He'll be coming in on the 4th, with not much more than the clothes on his back and a Quixotic faith that all will be well.

So I'd like to arrange a Seattle shower for him: a party where people can welcome him in, possibly with gifts, definitely with helpful ideas for surviving in the Emerald City. (And food--he'll be hungry from Greyhound travel.)

Anyone got ideas on how to plan this? Drop me a DUmail if you want to help organize.

Now, he's arriving on the 4th, which is a Sunday. Is it safe to assume that he'd want a few days to "decompress" before this event takes place? What about the following weekend?
