which time period would it be?
As in perpetually locked in a certain time period... nothing changes for the better or worse. Life goes on as always.
Myself... maybe the 1920's before the stock market crash or the late 50's early 60's when life was simple, pleasant and affordable for most and there was some actual pride in being an American (before the Viet Nam War escalation).

So I'll keep it simple: Mid-1960s. Pride in being an American, combined with the most creative media ever put out. (not to mention colorful...)
