(disclaimer - I'm not exactly batting 1000 myself)

I think that best friends can stay best friends - and while it may not be the only component necessary to sustain a relationship it is IMPERATIVE in having a healthy relationship and keeping it going.

I can't imagine being married to someone that wasn't my best friend. I wouldn't want to be.
