Are you a slave

to the "L" and "R" designations on your headphones?

For whatever reason, i simply cannot put the "L" earbud into my "R" ear. My mind won't embrace the concept of earbud cross-over.

Even if I would never in a million years notice the difference (when listening to music), that is not the point!

On edit: I don't know what the point is, but there must be one. It can't just be that I'm a berk... :think:

I like to hear music as accurately as possible. If something is supposed to fade to the left, I want to hear it on the left.

4. well yeah, but are you going to get that level of reproduction from your ipod on a city bus?

i mean, for the home stereo, or even for listening to headphones in a quiet place, i agree. but when you're on your morning commute, and the bus has snow chains on the tires, you're just not going to hear it.

i still do it, though.

10. My headphonesa are really good.

I actually tend to pick up on subtleties more when I'm listening on my ipod than on my stereo.

The L and R have different shapes. I can tell when they are in the wrong ear. They hurt.

Unless you're watching a video with your sound, it shouldn't matter. That said, I usually hold to the L/R convention.
