Hard to admit I fought the war on drugs
My hands were tied and the phone was bugged
Another died and the world just shrugged it off





*on that note, for my own well-being I'll be taking a break from DU (*NOTE THIS IS NOT A GOODBYE CRUEL BOARD POST!) It is just too painful for me to be here right now. I've humiliated myself enough and I can't let myself be so deliberately hurt anymore. I know there are people who genuinely care about my well-being so I didn't want my absence to lead anyone to believe that I've given in to my demons. That is the ONLY reason I'm posting this. I don't think I have the will power to just check my pm's here and not further torture myself by reading posts...so if you would like to reach me, find me on myspace (I'm on the DU group) and give me a shout out.

this year is a real test I guess. 21 years clean and sober, but that old addict inside is like an ember in a fire, all it takes is a little stoking of it and it wants to rear it's head.

Good luck, and you can usually find me here sometime, I've been to the recovery area some, but it moves kind of slow. The lounge is kind of like well, the lounge.

GD is great for all kinds of discussions.

You just have to find where you like and go there.
