Bright moments from 2003!
Edited on Wed Dec-31-03 07:37 AM by ih8thegop
Most of us would throw out 2003 if we could.

Yet, for everyone except hardcore cynics, there were bright spots to be found, moments we will always remember as high points in an otherwise dark year.

I went to Mackinac Island, MI, in May and enjoyed myself there. Being DU-less wasn't easy, but it was worth it. It's a beautiful place every Michigander (or Michiganian) should go there at least once every several years.

4. That I still have a soul
Before this year, I hadn't been myself in a multitude of ways. I'm a better person than I was a year ago, no matter if those around me agree or not.

5. Absolutely.
Our fifth anniversary trip to Chicago -- and visits with some (anti-Bush, if not DUer) friends -- was a very sweet several days. The weather was beautiful, and we were there the weekend the Cubs clinched the division, so everybody was in a great mood most of the time we were there.

2003 wasn't great, but it wasn't a total loss, either -- you're absolutely right.
