Damn, I need Nerd Help too!
Will the nerds click on two threads IN A ROW? Let's find out!

I currently have AVG Free on my home laptop. I love it. Now they are warning me that my free period is going to run out in January. Can I get it free again, or do I have to pay for it now?

2. There's a free version/upgrade.
But it's in real fine print on one of their pages/pop-up thingys.
Somebody told me about it and I almost had to get out my magnifying glass to find the tiny line 'download free avg here' or something like that.
Good luck.

And I'm not a nerd, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn last night.

3. Yes, you can get it free again.
Just download and register again. It may be a newer version (I know the one they're pushing in the warning notices is new; I'm not sure about AVG Free, though), but I remember from when I registered the last time that the site said that the free version runs out after about a year but at that time all you do is download and register again. Glad you had a question I was sufficiently nerdy to answer.:P:hi:

Download and install the new version - 7.5.

Version 7.1 is becoming obsolete.
