Heard it from a friend who heard it from my ex...
I am shaking with anger and amazement. I didn't believe it was possible that a person could create such a web of lies to protect himself at the expense of everybody else. DAMN I'm glad he dumped me. I must be the worst freaking judge of character. :mad:

'Cause that's the way my mind works. The man is an incredibly manipulative jerk, true. I still think I should have recognized something in his loving, tearful eyes. He CRIED when he said he loved me, for gawd's sake. Come to think of it, he was a musician and a fine actor. I was probably just practice, lol.

I don't care beyond being incredulous.

this is old stuff that I've just learned about now. It seems the man believed it was very important that I believed his bullshite, so he told a mutual friend some of the same lies he told me, with, I guess, the assumption that the friend would report back to me and back him up. Our mutual friend is very discreet so he did not. Nowadays our mutual friend isn't mutual and dis my friend only because he feels used, too. It's strange stuff. People can behave very, very badly. Me too I guess.

I don't know if you are a bad judge of character, you have just had someone stomp all over your heart. There may be something you need to figure out about how that happened, but I think your judgment will be found to be intact.

42. I must be the luckiest SOB on the planet. I have NO contact with my older son's mother
partially because he won't have anything to do with her himself. He's been living with us since he was 5, and as far as he's concerned, Mrs R is his mother.

It was an ugly marriage and an even uglier divorce, but I count myself fortunate that after a couple of years I just did not have to deal with her at all anymore. For far too many people, the ugliness drags on for far too many years.

Sorry you have to live with that crap, crim son. Just TRY to let it go, though I know it's not easy.
