How you and others were taken to task because you play GTA . . . I mean, it's silly, isn't it? It makes me wonder about adults that look for anything to scapegoat when it's really neglectful parenting that causes the youth of this country to go awry for whatever reason.

But, looking at the bigger picture, what's painfully sad is that I'd expect people on this site as a whole; thinkers, degreed individuals who unite under a common mindset, to know better. I understand different opinions and thoughts are what comes with a "big tent". Yet, with that thread, multiple threads that defend conscription (I'm not talking just "peace corp, social service" conscription, but an actual "everyone should put their ass in boot camp to fight George Bewsh's oil wars for the greater good" draft :wtf: ; either way, it's still forced servitude), multiple posters that defend the practice of job offshoring (as some know and as my journal will tell you, that's MY straw that busts the proverbial camel-hump), the continued flame-law skirting treatment given to the 9/11 skeptics (me being one of them), the still-creeping trans/homo-phobia you see among some posters . . .

It's just that whole thing about smart people who should know better and blown expectations. Sometimes it's disappointing; but then again, it's only a message board, I suppose.

I may as well be the one to say it. I love the Lounge, too, but I just come here to take a break from the serious stuff. Flame and be flamed; that's my motto.

You are crazy as usual. I freaking love The Lounge and DU in general. It's just GD just kind of sucks most of the time.
