Who the hell remembers Pete Barbuti?

A few threads today have reminded me of one of my favorite Barbuti jokes, "The Pig" which involves the story of a farmer and his pig with a wooden leg.

Pete was a mainstay on the Tonight Show in the 70s and 80s. One of the funniest joke-tellers ever.

3. Not a Johnny Carson girl?

He usually came on with an accordion or trumpet (great musician) and did a little stand-up before sitting down with Carson. Really cut-up with Doc Severinsen, too.

4. Yes it is coming back

I recognized the pic and that post reminds me... didn't he used to have a plunger in his act (with the trumpet) or something like that. I think he used to also have a cigar in his hand but I could be wrong.

A pig like that....you don't eat him all at once.

5. Not so much Carson, I guess.

In the 70's and 80's I was a party girl, I didn't watch too much late night TV. I was too busy getting up to other things!
