What a PERFECT New Year's Evening!
did i go out partying?

nope

did we have a ton of friends over to the house?

nope

WHAT made it perfect you ask? (ok you didn't but i'm a gonna tell ya) :)

Mrs Matcom and I spent a QUIET evening playing cards (Skippo), listening to our favorite CD's and sharing a couple bottles of wine. We played cards all night (well till 1:00 am anyway) and laughed and joked and talked.

No parties.
No people.
No driving.
No hangovers.

just relaxing. COMPLETELY relaxing and fun.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

2004 is here. The Year That We Get Rid Of That Ugly Bush

1. Sounds fun
Staying in can be fun if done right. Sounds like you two were connected and had a relaxing night. :)

2. In stark contrast
Went to an New Years Eve dance. Contra dancing, different partners each dance, no alcohol available. Attended with my wife (separate cars). Decision had been made 2 days before that we were going to separate and divorce.
Very weird, as people we knew at the dance (many are single or divorced) found out our situation, either through observation or we told them. Hoping for a happier New Year's Eve next year.

3. I'm sorry that you are unable to work things out.
I hope everything works out for the best for both of you.

5. Sorry bout that
but that was nervy of you to show up together (even if you came separately) at the contra dance. I've done those. They are so much fun and I'm not the most social person. :D

Getting divorced is painful, but it's not the worst thing that can happen. Here's to a better New Year's 2005 :toast:
