Tell us where to ship to, and we'll make sure you're drunk tomorrow!

1. I'm slightly drunk now
But if I lie and say I'm not, will you ship me some free booze? :)

20. 'Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you...'
http://www.oracleband.net/Lyrics/let-me-call-you-sweetheart.htm

Let Me Call You Sweetheart - Song Lyrics
Composed in 1910 by Beth Slater Whitson & Leo Friedman
Whitson was born in Goodrich Tennessee in 1879, & died in 1930 in Nashville
Friedman was born in 1869 in Elgin Illinois and died in 1927 in Chicago
The song has been a standard in the repertoire of bands everywhere for almost a hundred years, since it's introduction by a vocal group known as The Peerless Quartet (Henry Burr, Albert Campbell, Arthur Collins, & Tom Daniels
The group pioneered early recordings, and from 1904 through 1926, they were responsible for a hundred top ten hit recordings
The song has been used in at least four movies
"Thousands Cheer" (1943) starring Gene Kelly & Kathryn Grayson
"Diamond Horseshoe" (1945) starring Betty Grable, Dick Haymes & Phil Silvers (sung by Beatrice Kay)
"For the Love of Mary" (1948) starring Deanna Durbin & Edmond O'Brien)
"The Rose" (1979) starring Bette Midler
The song has been covered by a multitude of diverse artists, including Bing Crosby (1934), Irving Fields (1959), Barry White (1963), Fats Domino (1965), Neil Young (1972), Fiona Apple (2002 live), Pat Boone & Lawrence Welk
In 2001 the song received the "Towering Song Award" from the Songwriters Hall of Fame
Ranked #125 of the Recording Industry of America Association (RIAA) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) "Greatest Songs of the 20th century. The ranking of the top 365 songs of the last 100 years, was picked by voters "from all walks of life"
The song is still popular at weddings as a first dance waltz, and is often requested at anniversary parties

I am dreaming Dear of you, day by day
Dreaming when the skies are blue, when they're gray;
When the silvery moonlight gleams, still I wander on in dreams,
In a land of love, it seems, just with you.

Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you.
Let me hear you whisper that you love me too.
Keep the love-light glowing in your eyes so true.
Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you.

Longing for you all the while, more and more
Longing for the sunny smile, I adore
Birds are singing far and near, roses blooming everywhere
You, alone, my heart can cheer; you, just you

Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you.
Let me hear you whisper that you love me too.
Keep the love-light glowing in your eyes so true.
Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you.

27. I think it's a wonderful word.
Must admit I am a bit shy using it, but mean to many times and confess when it's used for me by someone not in my personal circle it makes me a bit uncomfortable, don't know why.

so many sweethearts out there for me, nothing uncomfortable intended.

8. Welcome to DU, StanD_by_You!
I am honored to be the recipient of your first post!
I must note that I know a lot of alcoholics who do not drink for good reason.
They are welcome to get in the spirit of imbibing spirits,
without actually imbibing spirits!
And Merry Christmas to you, StanD_by_You!

6. could you do me a flavor?
I don't think i am able to make a new thread yet, seeing as I'm still so new an soft and all.
It's something almost like a christmas song for everyone here. Annie Lennox and Davie Bowie, Under Pressure.

Maybe it's an odd holiday choice, but I really felt it fits.

28. Here you go
I think it fits in the rules about cross-posting.
There are some singers who can tear my heart right out of my chest,
Annie Lennox is one of them.

23. Good idea!
I used to like to imbibe a bit but somehow have lost my taste for it.
Hewever, someday,if we keep working on it, other recreational attitude adjusters should become more legal and available.
