This has to be the grossest Xmas dinner ever
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hog_maw

I tried the stuff - ugh, it is just horrible but my family seems to love it so it gets served on a regular basis. Thanksfully there was a ham that we could toss in the oven real quick for those of us wanting to eat something more civilized

6. I don't think beer even begins to prepare you for what is described here
Vodka? Everclear? Death? I am sorry, and while normally I wouldn't be I am glad there was a ham. Go somewhere else next Christmas or have it at your place.

4. Oh dear Lord...
and I thought us Mexican Americans ate weird stuff (had menudo on Christmas morning).

I remember having Scrapple when I was Washington DC...very gross for this Texan!

5. You want to know what scrapple is - I'll tell you what scrapple is **warning**
Scrapple is taking all the leftover products from butchering the pig, including hair, organs, rats, bugs and other disgusting stuff that manages to make it into to scrapple.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapple

What kills me is all these fancy Philly folks thinking that Scrapple is the best thing out there. If they ever saw scrapple being made (and I have) you'd puke your guts out

8. I just got through looking at the wikipedia entry...
and got sidetrack on the "stubs" section...people eat some screwed up things. Scrapple is the least offensive compared to other things listed.

I've eaten Scrapple.

I think it's tasty stuff. I could care less what is in it. Besides.. better to use all of the animal than to waste it neh?

12. my husband is part Pennsylvania Dutch
and fortunately he has never suggested that we have this. I'd leave him. Or at least I wouldn't kiss him for a while.
