The Chantix is kicking in now
I took the first dose tonight, and already the nicotine receptors in my brain are partially blocked. The cigarettes no longer satisfy the nicotine jones. I puff on them in futile hope, but no dice. They're just icky now. It's gonna be a rough ride. I pity everyone who encounters me in the next 72 hours. I'm drinking smoothies and chewing ginseng root to get me through. Detox ftw.

2. Haha, thanks

Too late for Iron Forge. Just one-shotted Ony, now it's time for bed.

3. A cruelly effective drug
I recommend it for anyone who wants to quit. It bypasses the need for willpower completely. You can cheat all you want; it won't help. No satisfaction to be found. All you need is to be resolute for a few seconds twice a day - long enough to swallow the pill.

God curse the bastard who invented it. I'm ready to chew on my shoes.

5. LOL!
It's also rather pricey: a one-month scrip runs about $160. Fortunately, a friend gave me hers because it upset her stomach.

I'm doing affirmations now. All my mother's new-age stuff rubbing off on me. Mind wheeling about a million cycles a minute. I can do this. I want to undo my destructive lifestyle. But as soon as I make it to my 90th birthday, I'm firing up a cigar.

6. I'm sure my prescription plan covers it - I work at a hospital.
I just don't want to gain weight - that's the only reason I haven't quit. Stupid, I know, but I am miserable overweight.
