Rockstar Supernova debut concert review : Attn. Graywarrior

LAS VEGAS - To appreciate the incongruous scene posed by the concert debut of the band from the reality TV show Rock Star: Supernova, it helps to hear from two Canadian fans who trekked here to cheer the band's skunk-haired singer, Lukas Rossi.

You had Frank Mansi, a 42-year-old auto technician from Midland, Ont., who fist-pumped and bopped maniacally through the Hard Rock Hotel's live venue on New Year's Eve wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey with "ROSSI" on the back.

"I spent $2,000 to see Lukas because he's my hometown boy," Mansi said. "Lukas freaks me out because he can write music and he drinks beer. I just want to meet him and get him to sign my jersey."

Then there was Rick, from Vancouver, who saw a fellow northerner with a notepad after the show and said: "You need to write about how embarrassed I am to be Canadian after seeing Lukas (on stage) tonight. Great singer, but what a train wreck."

about having a woman front the band, they probably would have been better off going with Magni...

House Band off the tour a couple of months ago due to "financial reasons"...:eyes:...a.k.a. too fricking cheap to pay them!! That would have been the only reason for me to even consider seeing that tour...

Because, the HB is WAY better than SN, and those three singers are the best singers-true performers on the show.

Bummer.

of "Rockstar" and seem to be doing pretty well for themselves as a band these days, but this whole "Supernova" concept seemed to be shaky from the start - Tommy Lee along with a couple of castoffs from other successful bands, one of which saw its best days a good 15 years back.
