Looking For Interesting Things To Do With Rutabagas-
My Dad picked one up and it's sitting here looking at me. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with this other than just boiling it and mashing?

5. I like 'em raw with a bit of salt on them.
Or boil and mash.

Or cut into french fry shapes and saute in some olive oil, butter, salt, and pepper.

You can deep fry slices and make chips, like potato chiprs; or deep fry lengths, like french fries.

Julienne and put on salad for some crunch.

Cut into very large pieces and use in a pot au feu.

Bake.

Cut in half, bake, scoop out some of the inside, mash it, mix it with tuna fish or chopped cooked shrimp or crab meat, some mayo, maybe some smoked paprika, salt and pepper, put mixture into the shell, cover with parmesan or gruyere cheese, and bake until cheese is melted.

6. Your french fry idea gave me an idea! Cut into wedge shapes and roast ala potato chips
with olive oil and rosemary and garlic.

Wonderful idea of stuffing it. Never would have thought of it!
