FYI: Burnt cat hair smells really, really bad.
The semi-annual sale is on at Bath & Body Works, so today I loaded up on bubble bath, lotion, and candles over my lunch hour.

I took a nice relaxing bath in my Aromatherapy bubble bath and then I lit my Japanese Cherry Blossom candle on my night stand.

Everything was smelling all nice and clean. Until...

My stupid ass cat jumped on the night stand and then stood OVER the candle. Thereby effectively frying the hair on his tummy.

He didn't even realize it was happening (though I'm sure he would have soon enough). But thankfully, I was sitting very nearby and managed to grab him without causing futher damage.

Now my room smells like burnt cat hair.

1. I remember when my kitty stuck her nose into a lit candle.
She burned her eyebrows off and some of her whiskers, and it took months for them to grow back. Glad to know she's not the dumbest kitty in the world!

2. Yeah...
this is the same cat who got himself stuck INSIDE a wall earlier this week.

:eyes:

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But he's cute! Thank God.

4. I love cucumber melon too
In fact, that's my current body wash!

My co-worker suggested trying Japanese Cherry Blossom and I'm glad I did...I love it! And I'm not typically into the flower smells, but it's really light.

Also, Coconut Lime Verbena is pretty amazing. :)

5. How ironic.
Did you throw the cat in the tub to put him out?

7. My friend's cat lit her tail on fire once
My friend and I were having a conversation, and my 8-yr-old son kept trying to get us to look at Estherbunny the cat. He was always saying "look at the cat," when the cat was doing nothing more than looking cute, so we were ignoring him. He kept trying to get our attention and I snapped at him to stop interrupting us and kept talking.

Finally, he yelled, "But Estherbunny's on FIRE!"

We turned around and Estherbunny's very fluffy persian tail was resting over a burning candle, lit up like a Christmas tree. She had nerve damage in her tail and never felt a thing.

Our sudden panic, of course, frightened her, and she started running through the house. ("Hot cockalorum," anyone?) Luckily, we caught her and put her out before she was seriously burned. (There was a lot of fluff to that tail.)

Needless to say, my friend and I felt pretty stupid for not listening to the kid.

8. It's probably a good thing humans aren't as flammable as cats.
