Anyone here see "Ziggy Stardust"?
I love that era of Bowie - the whole glam-on-steroids phase...

Is this movie any good? I've heard mixed reviews

1. It's best if you see Ziggy Stardust while you're high...
:hi: Bowie's a personal fave, but his early movies were designed with pot and/or acid in mind. :P

2. Bowie was amazing up to and through the "Thin White Duke" Period
Something about a sober Bowie never did it for me...

6. I saw him in concert in 1986 in Chapel Hill, and
it was a lot of flash and glitter. I agree---that wasn't his best period, but I still love him. Bowie prior to 1981 is my absolute favorite. :D

7. saw him in chicago in 97
at the aragon ballroom when he was doing a tour of small venues.

pretty awesome.

i've seen him many times before and in each concert he always plays "stay" from the 1976 STATIONTOSTATION album.

3. If you mean the concert film, it was pretty good, but could have been a lot better.
It's just basically a documentary of the concert. For "Space Oddity" they use a disco ball to make moving spots all around the venue. I think the last song he does is "White Light, White Heat." I was a huge fan of Bowie in the 1970s, and frankly I was a little bit disappointed with this film.

4. Does it matter?
Just watch it. It's still Bowie.
