Since I'm one of the few in my company who A) needs the extra money AND B) is not compete ly PC illiterate, I've gotten picked to stay an additional 90 minutes a night after the office closes to perform routine maintenance on our office PC's.
So I'll be installing and running SpyBot and AdAware in addition to defragging the systems, running disk cleanup, deleting all non-office related files and programs (I'm the most hated guy now after I told everyone that I'd be removing pictures, games, chat programs etc.) and making sure all the critical updates are installed.
This is pretty much what I've been doing to my own PC's for years to keep them running as efficiently and quickly as possible.
From what you know, am I missing any obvious steps I should be taking?
Can you direct me to any good websites that could give me a more comprehensive idea and/or direction of anything else I should be doing?
Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions....
