what a handful..he is two and a half years old..70 lbs..giant puppy..raging hormones..and not appearing terribly cat safe at the moment.

two and a half years old! That ain't no pup, darlin' - that's a DAWG!

She is gorgeous! Do I remember that her name is Molly? I remember that you lost one to age just prior to getting her (was that Polly?). She looks great, and very happy. Oh, and Pooky wants me to say hi to her for him Errrroowwww!

She's the sweetest cat EVER. Just a total lap bug.

I love her fluffy tail! What a little angel!

I dunno... she's pretty small. But has a big fluffy magnificent tail.

but the real give away is tufts of fur between the toes. I think she has Maine Coon in her but probably also something else that has kept her small. How old is she, she may still surprise you.

I had an orange Maine Coon once, named Magnus, a very willfull, smart cat, but not in an @sshole kind of way. I read that Maine Coons are descendents of cats that the vikings brought over, as are Norweigian forest cats. The tufts of hair in the ears are to keep snow out.

She's about 8 months old now.

you may be right! First off, she's 6 months old, not 8 - math is hard! She's almost the same size as my 9 month old boy now. But he's small, too.

I found a website on Maine Coons and she has a lot of the characteristics - the fur, the tail, the ears, the foot tufts and most importantly, the non-meow. She trills. She squeaks. She purrs. She makes the damnedest noises, but NONE of them sounds anything like a *meow*. This site said that's typical of the breed. Her personality also fits the profile.

So I'm gonna guess I've been especially lucky and got a female orange coon mix! I've always wanted an orange cat - I've always wanted a Maine coon! Wheee!
