You're the one that I want...
What is with this Grease obsession....

Like some mutant Phoenix, this god awful "musical" keeps coming alive, keeps drawing them in...

It's like some producer hit's himself in the head every 20 months or so and says, "We haven't had a venue for Rosie O'Donnell types in a while... Let's bring back the Grease..."

Oh the pain, the utter depravity of our culture, the depths we strive to sink...

Why, why must NBC present Grease Tryouts as a Reality Show...

I didn't like it the first time...

I loathed it the second time...

I wept openly for the American Theatre the third time...

I light candles to St. Anthony hoping that god almightly will relealize that the Anti Christ is, in fact, Rizzo...

1. I have never understood the attraction of this one...
Do the producers not have any imagination?

Why do they keep recycling these old stories?

There has to be new material out there!

I'd like to see some of that..........:banghead:

:hi:

2. It's the misunderstanding that the 1950s were
a time of "innocence" and good times before the protests of the evil 1960s...forget that the 1950s were the time of McCarthyism and a forced conformity that led many people to prescription pill addiction (especially of tranquilizers). People forget that it was a time os segregation or maybe they don't, perhaps this obsession with the 1950s is in part a longing for Pat Buchanan's version of America.

All I know is that I am glad I didn't live in the 1950s.
